in these current dark days of music where anybody who can string 4 or 5 words together and plug in a dozen effects pedals is a "band" - and anyone who can hold down 3 notes on a midi keyboard controller is an "artist" - it's hard to not be cynical - while a mountain of uninspired, utterly meaningless, unnecessary music casts a heavy shadow as the constant streaming sewer adds to the blight, warping and diluting the value of music.
the purpose of this music project is to, of course, entertain on a superficial level while the true focus is something deeper - to perform an exorcism of sorts on all the pain, disgust and dread which pollutes and tortures the soul, to see if there is any light left - a caustic therapy as it were, with hopes that this poetry and music may create a time and space to aid contemplation for anyone with similar struggles, encouraging a meditation on life, meaning, death and everything in between.
